Cash Registers Online Policies & Procedures
By accepting delivery of any product ordered from Cash Registers Online ("CRO"), you ("Customer") agree to be bound by the terms and conditions listed below. You and CRO agree that the following terms and conditions are the exclusive terms governing the sales transaction between Customer and CRO. Any attempt to alter, supplement, modify or amend these terms and conditions by the Customer will be considered a material alteration of this agreement and, therefore, are null and void. In addition, these terms and conditions are subject to change at any time, without prior written notice. Therefore, please check these terms and conditions carefully each time you place an order with or accept delivery of any goods from CRO.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A. Exchanges. Sam4s cash registers, and Sharp cash registers, can be exchanged within seven (7) days of receipt. Sales outside of this window are considered final. Any item(s) exchanged will be charged a 15% restocking fee less shipping charges. Item(s) must be in original condition with all original packaging and accessories. Items that are not eligible for exchange or return: parts, paper, ink, scanners, printers, cash drawers, pagers, scales, Wetcovers, software, DataCap credit card equipment, pole displays, manuals, coin changers, coin counters, programming, or shipping charges. Money-back returns are not available on Sam4s cash registers or Sharp cash registers.
B. Non Returnable/Exchangeable items. All sales are final on the following items: Royal cash registers, Casio cash registers, Swintec cash registers, DataCap credit card equipment, Wetcover keyboard covers, ink ribbons/rollers, paper, scanners, printers, cash drawers, pagers, scales, pole displays, manuals, coin changers, cash counters, parts, technical support, extended warranties, programming, or shipping charges.
C. Return Authorization. All item(s) returned to Cash Registers Online require an RMA number. Any item shipped to CRO without an RMA number will be refused. Please visit www.cashregistersonline.com/rma.asp to request and RMA number. Do not write on the outside of the box. A Return Authorization number must be issued prior to making a return. Some of our products are shipped direct from our suppliers, therefore DO NOT USE the address on the shipping label for return as this may not be our return address. All returns must be sent to Sioux Falls, SD, following the shipping instructions provided in the RMA instruction email. RMA numbers are valid for seven (7) days. When returning any item(s), pack with all original packing material including plastic bags, or larger items such as cash registers may be damaged. The customer is responsible for damage caused by improper packaging. Please insure your package for at least the amount the item being returned and use a shipping company (FedEx, or UPS) that provides tracking numbers as these may be required to process a refund. Cash Registers Online does not accept exchanges on merchandise without original packaging.
D. Dead on Arrival (DOA): An item deemed defective or DOA by one of our technicians will only be exchanged for a new replacement If it is reported within two (2) business days of receiving the item. We do not manufacture the items we sell, nor do we take every item out of the box to inspect/test it. In the unlikely event a defective item is received an RMA number will need to be issued. CRO does not send call tags or shipping labels, and the defective item must be sent back prior to shipment of the replacement unless the customer chooses to do an advance exchange, section (E) below. When a replacement item is sent for exchange Cash Registers Online will ship the item back via ground service regardless of the original shipping speed, we do offer faster shipping methods at a discounted rate
E. Advance Register Exchange - $75.00. If an item is deemed defective or dead on arrival by one of our technicians an advance exchange may be offered for a new replacement. Advance exchanges differ from the standard DOA return policy in that CRO will ship a replacement item to you prior to receiving the defective item. Also, with an advance exchange, a call tag will be sent for the defective item. The item will need to be packaged in its original box with original contents and we will provide a scheduled pick up time. A valid credit card number will be needed for an advance exchange. Advance exchanges will only be offered to customers within seven (7) days of receipt of the item. Advance exchange is not available for international orders.
F. Order Cancellations. If an order is cancelled the same business day before 4:00PM central time and has not been shipped you will not be charged any additional fees. If the order has not been shipped and is cancelled after the business day it was ordered a 10% fee will apply in order to cover credit card service fees. Order cancellations can only be done by telephone as they are time sensitive. If you are not sure you need or want the order, please do not finalize it and give us a call or contact us so we may assist you in getting the correct product. Once an order has been shipped it can not be cancelled, and the terms set forth in section (A) above apply. If you have any questions please call us at 877-877-3192.
G. Non-deliverable address and delivery refusal. All orders are shipped based on the information given at the time of the order. If an order comes back to CRO due to a non-deliverable address the customer is responsible for shipping charges to reship the item.
H. International orders. Applies to all orders shipped outside of the United States. All international sales are final and non-returnable. If the country the order is shipping to charges additional duties, taxes, or fees the customer is responsible for these charges. CRO will honor warranty for all products sold internationally. If warranty work is required for an international order the customer is responsible for prepaid shipping both ways.
I. Pricing policy. Due to the extremely dynamic pricing of electronic goods, CRO does not offer price protection on any orders once the order has been processed.
J. Product Listings. CRO strives for accuracy in all item descriptions, photographs, compatibility references, detailed specifications, pricing, links and any other product-related information contained herein or referenced on our Web site. Due to human error and other determinates we cannot guarantee that all item descriptions, photographs, compatibility references, detailed specifications, pricing, links and any other product-related information listed is entirely accurate, complete or current, nor can we assume responsibility for these errors. In the event a product listed on our Web site is labeled with an incorrect price due to some typographical, informational, technical or other error, CRO shall at its sole discretion have the right to refuse and/or cancel any order for said product and immediately amend, correct and/or remove the inaccurate information. Additionally, all hyperlinks to other Web sites from CRO are provided as resources to customers looking for additional information and/or professional opinion. CRO does not assume responsibility for the claims and/or representations made on these or any other Web sites.
K. Product Revisions. CRO is not responsible for changes or variations in product specifications and/or physical appearance. In the interest of our customers, CRO puts forth its best efforts to ensure that all product information is up-to-date and factual. Unfortunately there are varying determinates which, although infrequent, could cause the information on our Web site to become outdated without our immediate knowledge. This includes but is not limited to new versions or revisions, color deviations, retail package alterations and other variations that may be considered inconsequential by the manufacturer. CRO relies on the manufacturer to communicate these differences. Presently we have no way of alerting customers prior to purchase in the event the manufacturer fails to do so. Consequently, CRO will not be held responsible for product revision changes.
CRO strives to offer the best combination of price and service; however, it is ultimately the end users responsibility for all programming, setup, and training. If you are not comfortable programming your machine, CRO highly recommends the purchase of programming before the machine is shipped. CRO supports all customers on a first come first served basis. Due to this, CRO technicians cannot schedule times for support, and may limit the amount of time spent on each support call. CRO also may not be able to get to your support questions on the same business day, although a technician will attempt to answer questions in a timely manner. Technical support covers questions that may arise while setting up your new machine; it does not cover training or programming the entire machine over the phone. Some support/troubleshooting questions may require assistance from the manufacturer, or further testing by our technicians. Technical support is a value-added service provided to our customers and a lack of support is not a valid reason for return on any equipment. CRO reserves the right to refuse service if we feel the technical support policy is misused or abused. Accessories/peripherals (barcode scanners, software, printers, scales, surveillance, etc) not purchased from CRO will not be supported, please contact original reseller.
A. Technical Support: CRO offers technical support as an option on most equipment we sell stating at $29.95 for ninety (90) days, this option can only be added at the time of purchase. If the technical support option is declined at the time of purchase, or the technical support option has expired, technical support can be purchased for $30 per incident (up to 30 minutes), which must be prepaid before any technical support will be given. To expedite service, have your order number ready prior to calling for support. CRO is available for technical support via telephone at 605-275-2560 Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM Central time.
B. Software Support: Due to the nature of computers and their components, software is excluded from our technical support program. Paid software is eligible for technical support at a rate of $50 per support incident on all software related support (up to 30 minutes) for ninety (90) days after purchase. Software support after 90 days will be evaluated by a technician and a price quotation provided before service. Free software utilities included with registers are not eligible for technical support please use at your own risk.
All new merchandise CRO sells comes with the full manufacturer warranty. During the warranty period all work must be performed by Cash Registers Online, which may require sending the item in for repair. We do not send return labels, or call tags for warranty repair. We will however ship the item sent in for warranty back to you via Ground Shipping at no charge, if faster shipping is desired the customer is responsible for the extra shipping fees. Cash Registers Online does not offer loaner equipment while warranty is being performed. If the item sent for repair is found to be a non-warranty issue a repair quotation will be given before any work is performed. If the repair quotation is accepted payment is required prior to service. If the service is declined, customer will be responsible for return shipping. Customer is responsible for return shipping charges on all non-warranty issues. Depending on parts availability, service time can range from one (1) to five (5) business days. If warranty work is required for an international order the customer is responsible for prepaid shipping both ways.

Optional Extended Warranty: CRO offers a warranty extension on Sam4s registers. If an extended warranty was purchased this extends the standard warranty for one (1) or two (2) years. All warranty claims must be handled directly by CRO, and are non-transferable.
